Rugged Input Devices

We specialize in designing and manufacturing rugged input devices that are built to withstand even the harshest environments. Our standard product line of rugged keyboards and keypads is used in kiosks, ATM's, transportation, food service, and many other applications. Our keyboards and keypads are sealed to at least NEMA 4/IP65 rated, ensuring that they are protected against dust, water, and other contaminants.

All of our rugged keyboards are standard HID devices and do not require special drivers. We also offer custom solutions, including customized legends, colors, and outputs.

Access Control

We offer many rugged solutions for access control that have been specifically designed to endure severe environments. Our metal and silicone rubber keypads are all available with optional back lighting. Outputs include USB and X-Y matrix. Our access control products are sealed to at least NEMA4/IP65 and have been proven around the world for access control, fare collection, dispensing, and many other areas that require long term reliability.

Data Entry

Our rugged keyboards are used around the world in severe environments including prisons, kiosks, food service, oil fields, and healthcare facilities. We offer integrated trackballs, touchpads, and a flat joystick model for long-lasting water-resistant solutions. Our data entry products are sealed against liquid spills and some can even be used under water. We offer washable models for healthcare facilities, schools, libraries, and any place there are multi-user keyboards that can transmit germs from one user to another. We also offer very rugged models for correctional facilities, kiosks, factories, and other areas that need sealed durable data entry products in severe environments.

Custom Products

We have the capability to design and manufacture custom keypads and keyboards for healthcare, police, military, or anywhere data input is needed indoors or in any hostile outdoor environment. We also have the capability to machine custom parts to very tight tolerances with our CNC equipment.

Military

OIT designs and manufactures custom keypads using 3D design software and CNC equipment. Any light-plate or keypad can be duplicated and manufactured for Military or Industrial applications. Custom jobs range from 1 to 1000's. NVIS A and B available for backlighting.
