Questions
Do I need new locks to prevent someone with a key from entering?
No, we can rekey existing locks by replacing internal pins to match a new key. This cost-effective solution maintains security without requiring complete lock replacement.
Can you provide keys that prevent unauthorized duplication?
Yes, we offer restricted key systems that prevent unauthorized copying through mechanical or electronic means. These provide enhanced security compared to standard 'do not duplicate' stamped keys.
Can you change combinations on safes?
Yes, we change combinations on most safes. Electronic safes allow quick changes while mechanical models may require disassembly. We ensure proper functionality before finalizing changes.
What's the difference between fire and burglar safes?
Fire safes protect paper documents from heat damage, while burglar safes prevent forced entry. We offer combination units that provide both fire and burglary protection with appropriate security classifications.
How secure are standard locks against picking?
Most standard locks can be picked with basic tools. We recommend multi-factor locking systems that combine different security mechanisms to create virtually pickproof solutions for enhanced protection.
Can access control systems restrict after-hours access?
Yes, our access control systems can enforce time-based entry restrictions. This feature allows different access permissions for regular hours versus weekends or holidays while maintaining security logs.
